06Privacy & submission terms
Contribute a problem.
Keep your privacy.
We ask for the context needed to review your contribution. Personal contact details and public attribution are optional.
What the workshop collects
Submission forms store the title, description, selected contribution type, and optional cost, frequency, impact, skills, mission, contact email, and pseudonym you provide. Consent choices and a receipt reference are stored with the submission.
Basic abuse prevention uses a short-lived form challenge and server-side rate limiting. Hosting infrastructure may process request and security metadata. The site does not require an account for public browsing or contributions.
Private first
Submissions enter a protected review queue. They are not automatically public. Permission to share a redacted summary and permission to display your pseudonym are separate, optional choices. Your email is never part of a public post.
Do not send passwords, financial account details, customer data, confidential employer material, or anything you lack permission to share. Use a synthetic example when explaining a data problem.
Contact, attribution & removal
An optional email lets the steward follow up about the submission. It does not enroll you in a mailing list. To request access, correction, withdrawal of public attribution, or deletion, use the issue form and provide your receipt reference. Do not post a receipt in public; it helps locate your submission, but is not proof of identity on its own.
Private submission content has a 90-day retention window. On subsequent relevant server requests, unpublished submissions older than that window are deleted and private payloads of published submissions are cleared. This cleanup is request-driven, not a guaranteed scheduled deletion at the exact 90-day mark. Approved public summaries may remain until withdrawn or removed. Removal requests may require private confirmation to prevent someone else deleting your record. Infrastructure backups may expire later than the active record.
Public books
The books show redacted financial descriptions and totals. They do not publish donor emails, bank details, unredacted receipts, or legal identities by default. Financial support is not yet open, and this site does not collect card information.
Administration
Administration uses the hosting platform’s sign-in and a separate server-side authorization check. Public participation does not require that sign-in. Only authorized stewards can review private submissions or change the published records.
Scope & responsibility
Submitting a problem grants permission for the workshop to review it privately. Public sharing follows your selected consent. A submission does not establish employment, compensation, ownership, governance, or an agreement to build. For substantial code, designs, or paid work, agree on rights and terms before sending the work.
Operator details and the receiving arrangement are pending confirmation. No guarantee of anonymous operation is made. These practices will be updated when the project’s operating arrangements are finalized.
