The future should have
more authors.

ViVeri builds useful machines that put capability and control back into people’s hands. We are a human-led project using AI to build a different future.

Capability shouldn’t be a permanent rental.

Some of the most useful software capabilities arrive wrapped in expensive subscriptions, opaque systems, and terms people cannot meaningfully shape. We want to demonstrate another possibility: tools people can control, retain, and operate themselves.

That claim has to survive contact with real work. We start with useful machines, publish their limits, and show what they cost. People bring the problems and expertise that shape what comes next.

A name with a point of view.

“Vi veri” means “by the power of truth,” within the phrase “Vi veri universum vivus vici.” For us, it is a working principle: tell the truth about capability, cost, control, and results.

Resistance is useful when it builds an alternative. Hope is more credible when you can put it to work.

Humans direct. AI assists.

Humans decide what matters, review evidence, approve releases, and take responsibility for spending. AI helps with research, design, programming, and testing. It does not become an excuse for unaccountable decisions or unsupported claims.

Published machine status reflects human review and documented checks. An AI-generated statement is not evidence merely because it sounds certain.

Accountability is part of the product.

Who decides
Founder-designated human stewards make roadmap, release, moderation, and spending decisions. Each mission names its accountable role. Community input informs priorities; binding votes or governance rights have not been established.
Builder compensation
Making a sustainable living from the project is an explicit goal. Confirmed compensation appears separately in the public ledger. Unpaid time, proposed budgets, and cash paid remain separate records.
What contributors receive
A clear contribution scope, an honest status, and optional public credit with explicit consent. No payment, ownership, license grant, or reward is implied by submitting an idea. Terms for substantial code or paid work must be agreed before it is accepted.
Ownership & licensing
Rights are stated for each released machine. “Free to use” does not automatically mean open source, public ownership, or public access to every method. We have not established community ownership or nonprofit status.
Why pseudonyms
Builders may use pseudonyms to separate public project work from personal lives. This is not a guarantee of anonymity. Required operator and receiving information will be published after the appropriate arrangement is confirmed, before financial support opens.

Question the work. Improve the record.

If a comparison is wrong, a machine fails, or the books do not reconcile, tell us. Include the page, the claim or behavior, and any evidence you can safely share. Reports enter a private review queue; public corrections should explain what changed.

You don’t need to code.
